Chenonceaux (37150), on the river Cher, a few hundred metres from the château. Car, train or bicycle — all three work just as well.
By car
Chenonceaux is about twenty minutes from Amboise, and roughly thirty-five minutes from Tours along the Cher valley. The village is quickly crossed; you park the car here and do not touch it again until you leave. One parking space per room is kept in front of the house.
By train
Chenonceaux station is served from Tours and is within walking distance of the house. Trains are infrequent but direct. We will come and meet you at the station on request, if the timetable allows.
By bicycle
The house is on the Cher à Vélo cycle route, with a locked room for bikes and what you need to clean them on arrival. The Loire à Vélo route is reached at Amboise in just under an hour: the ride leaves the Cher valley, crosses the plateau and the forest of Amboise, then drops back down to the Loire. Nothing difficult, but it is not flat.
Arriving by train
The station is ten minutes away on foot, straight on as you leave the garden. There is no ticket office on the platform, so buy your tickets before you set off. On arrival you follow the vines along the track, then the village.
Booking request
There is no online booking here: you write to us, and we reply within twenty-four hours with availability and details. No payment is asked for at this stage. The same form does just as well for a simple question.

Are pets allowed?
No, other than by exception, to be discussed before booking.
Is there parking?
One space per room, in front of the house, no need to reserve it.
What time can we arrive?
Late afternoon or in the evening, according to what we agree together before you come. We fit around train times and however the drive goes.
Are children welcome?
Yes. An extra bed can be put up in la Gabare or le Bac, on request.
Is there Wi-Fi everywhere?
Yes, in the rooms, the kitchen and the garden.
Can we pay by card?
Card and cash are both accepted; we settle the details at the time of booking.
